Offer
There is a name missing from the Rolls of Aldmarrow. I have spent forty years establishing the shape of the hole it left. The last king of Sundmark did not die; he bargained his death away on the Night of the Hollow Moon, and his heirs struck his name from every stone so the bargain could not find him. The Tomb has a vault the masons did not mark. If you find it, you will find him. Ask him nothing. Whatever he answers, you will wish you had not heard it.
While in progress
Look for the wall where the dust lies wrong. And do not say his name in the vault, even if you learn it. Especially if you learn it.
On completion
So it was Orrin. I knew it. I have known it for twenty years and could prove none of it. ...Forgive me; an old man's vanity. You have given the last king of Sundmark the only thing he wanted, which was an end. And you have given me a name. Take this. The Archive has kept it four hundred years for someone who deserved it.
